The God of Victory, Yatsuya Shinmeisha Shrine

I visited Yatsuya Shinmeisha Shrine, located in Kyowa-cho, Obu City. Yatsuya Shinmeisha Shrine was established in 1664 (Kanbun 4) as the guardian deity of the village of Yatsuya (now Kyowa-cho), became a village shrine in 1872 (Meiji 5), and was renamed Shinmeisha in 1878 (Meiji 11). It is a shrine that has been protected as the guardian deity of Kyowa to this day. Recently, a new shrine building was rebuilt. Yatsuya Shinmeisha Shrine is famous for being the shrine where the god of victory resides.
