I visited Kozenji Temple on my trip to visit the Obu Seven Lucky Gods. Kozenji Temple is a Soto Zen temple founded in 1558. One of the Obu Seven Lucky Gods, Benzaisonten is the only goddess among the Seven Lucky Gods, and is said to be a god who prays for good fortune for women. The surrounding area is a quiet residential area with a calm atmosphere. There is a parking lot, so you can go by car, but be careful as the surrounding roads are somewhat narrow. There are many temples in Obu city, and the distances between the temples are short, so you can make a pilgrimage to the Obu Seven Lucky Gods in one day.
