Bronze statues of animals! Nagakusa Hachiman Shrine

I visited Nagakusa Hachimansha Shrine in Obu City. Nagakusa Hachimansha Shrine is a branch shrine of Nagakusa Tenjin Shrine and is located at 1-20 Meisei-cho, Obu City. The date of its founding is unknown, but there are records that the shrine was renovated during the Keio era (1865-1868) as one of the five shrines of the village of Nagakusa. In 1874, a land consolidation decree was issued and six shrines were enshrined under Hachimansha Shrine: Shinmeisha Shrine in Aihara, Tanojin Shrine in Tanokami, Yamanojin Shrine in Higashiyorai, Fujiijin Shrine and Arajin Shrine in Hongo, and Gotsuya Shinmeisha Shrine in Gotsuya. In 1972, a new shrine building was built, a notice was filed with the Shinto Shrine Agency, and the shrine was officially moved to its current location.
