Spain - Salamanca, the whole city is a university town!

#2月好地方2025 Salamanca is the oldest university city in Spain. A day trip to the suburbs of Madrid. After leaving the ancient city of Ávila, we headed to our next destination, Salamanca. It was about an hour's drive, and along the way there were barren plateau sandstone landforms. The first place we visited was the main square built with yellow sandstone. If you visit at noon, it looks like glittering golden light under the sunlight, hence the name "Golden Square". The square is surrounded by shops and cafes. You can sit outdoors with a cup of coffee and feel the charm of the medieval old town. From the main square, walk through the stone path, pass the cathedral, and along the way you will see the University of Salamanca engraved on the wall. In fact, this entire city is a university town! There are many architectural schools scattered around the church. Turning around, you will see the exquisite relief gate at the entrance of the university. Inside the campus, there is a small square surrounded by granite columns and arcades. The symmetrical and pleasing space, coupled with green land and blue sky, makes people feel extremely comfortable! The small classrooms around here have even been converted into museums, so there are so many surprises to see everywhere. #SpainTravel #Salamanca
