University dormitories are also historic sites

Traveling westward in Spain ~ Salamanca (region) Created by Archbishop Alonso de Fonseca of Toledo, it is built around a courtyard and is accessed through a hall with a pointed vault decorated with star patterns. The courtyard has two floors, the lower floor is a semicircular arch and the upper floor is a segmented arch. Both floors are decorated with medals created by Juan de Álava and Pedro de Ibarra, representing a series of "Uomini Famosi" or outstanding figures. On the main facade there are sculptures of Saints Augustine and Saint Ildefonso, as well as the medal of Santiago from the Battle of Clavijo.
