It’s Thursday again, time to eat delicious food! Last week, I went to Sukiyaki for lunch with my father. This time, I went on a pilgrimage to a newly opened Sukiyaki specialty store. I was really happy and satisfied to have a high-quality and delicious meal. The shop is located in Minden Path, Tsim Sha Tsui and is called Sukiyaki Isekuma. It is right next to my favorite izakaya Kido and is very conveniently located near the MTR station. As soon as you enter the restaurant and pass through the bamboo forest, you will find the dining area. We were arranged to enjoy our lunch at the bar while watching the chef's cooking process. The restaurant is decorated in a Japanese minimalist style using logs and Japanese paper to create a simple and comfortable space. There are 22 seats in the restaurant, 14 of which are bar seats. After settling down, have a sip of hot tea and choose your favorite lunch, and now look forward to the delicious food! The beef-loving dad chose his favorite A4 Wagyu Sukiyaki set meal for $488, which includes Kyoto beef and Kagawa olive beef. I chose the Hokkaido Four-Pig Sukiyaki Set Meal for $380, which also allows me to taste two different parts of the pig. In addition, the lunch set also includes five kinds of wild vegetables including gluten, baby cabbage, oyster mushrooms, cauliflower and Kyoto tofu. It contains meat and rich fiber, and the nutrition is very balanced. The holidays are meant to be spent chilling! Laizhi Chusun Demon Sashimi with Pure Rice, Spicy Taste $220. Let me first sigh. This sake has a good rice aroma and a spicy taste. The flavor is rich and lingering, and it goes well with meat. All lunch sukiyaki sets come with appetizers, steamed chawanmushi, 5 types of wild vegetables, miso soup, pickles, rice and dessert. The appetizers of the day included the chewy Japanese kelp stew with a hint of ocean flavor, the chewy cucumber and chicken skin, and the fragrant and flavorful Wagyu stew with burdock. All three appetizers were very tasty and it was hard to tell which was better. The prawn chawanmushi is steamed in a fragrant broth and has a super tender texture. In addition to the sweet and refreshing prawns, salty and fragrant mentaiko is also added, making the chawanmushi taste particularly outstanding and delicious. Miso soup is definitely a must-have soup in Japanese cuisine. It is super comfortable to drink a sip of hot miso soup after a full meal. The four sauces include truffle sauce, yuzu sauce, Wasabi and Okinawa pepper rings, which are perfect if you like strong flavors. This is Mr. Hirokazu Hisaya, a senior Japanese chef from Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. He uses the finest Wagyu beef with his own unique sauce recipe to showcase the Japanese style of sukiyaki. We were honored to have him serve us personally on this day. Without further ado, the chef put his unique sauce into the wok. The sizzling sound instantly increased my appetite. I was really hungry. After adding the sauce, the chef put the oyster mushrooms and tofu into the wok first, and then cooked the pork I ordered together. Soon, the delicious pork sukiyaki was in front of me. The pork meat is blessed with a sweet and unique sauce and is eaten with sticky rice. It is chewy, sweet and meaty, and very delicious. In addition to the delicious pork, the wild vegetables cooked with it are also very delicious! Especially the cauliflower which is a mixture of choy sum and broccoli is the most attractive. After tasting the delicious pork, the chef cooked his delicious Wagyu beef for Mr. Che. The bright red color and evenly-marbled Wagyu beef looked very eye-catching, and even I, who cannot eat beef, was attracted by it. On the left is Kyoto Hime beef and on the right is Kagawa Olive beef. Both types of beef made Car Dad very satisfied. It is said that the meat is very tender and the beef flavor is super rich. He even said that after eating so many sukiyaki, the quality of the beef here is his favorite. Friends who like beef really need to try it. Finally, for dessert, we got the super smooth black sesame panna cotta! The rich aroma of black sesame is hidden in the smooth jelly, and the sweet brown sugar on top makes the whole thing sweet but not greasy. This dessert is really outstanding and delicious. The lunch sukiyaki set here is served from Monday to Friday (except holidays). I saw that there is also Awa soba chicken sukiyaki set on the menu.
