Guiraoga is located adjacent to Iguazú National Park. Meaning "Bird House" in the local Guaraní language, the name reflects its original purpose: to provide shelter and care for birds injured, trapped, or deprived of their habitat. The center, established in collaboration with ecologists and conservation organizations, spans approximately 19 hectares and offers a natural rainforest environment. Visitors can follow walking trails to observe rescued and rehabilitated animals, including toucans, parrots, jaguars, monkeys, sloths, and various reptiles. Staff members will explain the animals' habits, threats, and conservation efforts, making the visit both educational and a natural experience. Some animals are released back into the wild after recovery, while others that cannot survive in the wild are placed in long-term care.
