The forgotten and inconspicuous little stone bridge

Traveling westward in Spain ~ Cáceres (region) This is a 17th century bridge that got its name from the hermitage next to it; it’s a beautiful stone bridge, but what’s even more striking is its surroundings, which are beautiful. It is a pity that this small bridge is no longer the main access to the city, and its once glorious purpose has been slowly forgotten by the world. The Jerte River flows beneath it, and the area is lushly wooded and, at this time of year, flowers bloom. #2024TravelReview #SpainTravel #Extremadura
