Spain Westward Journey ~ Cáceres (Region) The museum is housed in two connected buildings: Casa de las Veletas, which houses the Moorish cistern, and Casa de los Caballos, which dates from the 16th century. The museum's collections bear witness to the history of the first settlers to the latest contemporary art. Highlights include Bronze Age stelae, Oriental treasures, Iron Age stone boar sculptures, Roman mosaics, ethnographic collections and a collection of 20th-century Spanish art, not to mention the presence of El Greco.
