Another Arabic-style tower

Spain Westward Journey ~ Cáceres (Region) The Torre Yerba is part of the walls of the World Heritage city of Cáceres. It is an architecture of Arabic origin and built on Roman ashlars. It's close to Barbos and the Plaza Mayor itself. Like the rest of the building, it has a square plan and is located within the defensive enclosure of the monumental city of Cáceres. It was called the Albanian Tower (a tower used for defense and watchtower). It is one of the last buildings to stand under Muslim rule in Cáceres and dates back to the 12th century. Based on ancient Roman architecture. Despite its long history, it is in a very good state of conservation.
