⚠️ **Regarding Room Choices:** I highly recommend against booking the Deluxe King Room (including the Pool Access Rooms). These room types are located in a separate building at the very edge of the resort, near the entrance. They suffer from traffic noise, it's inconvenient to get to breakfast, and the rooms themselves are on the smaller side. The only upside is a budget-friendly convenience store right outside (since the building is practically outside the main gate). 

The hotel's overall design is minimalist, which might be great for photos, though my photography skills didn't quite do it justice. The pool is nice, and if it's sunny, the bar offers a beautiful spot to watch the sunset. (8.5/10)

The location is in a fairly bustling part of Seminyak, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. It's a good spot, with some places to visit within reach. However, it doesn't compare to hotels in Kuta; getting around usually means a taxi ride of 30 minutes or more. (7.5/10)

Breakfast was quite substantial, a mix of à la carte and buffet, and the taste was decent. Most of it was quite good, and dining at the Seasalt restaurant by the coast with the sea breeze was very pleasant. (8.8/10)

Perhaps we didn't spend enough (LOL), but our ground-floor pool-side room felt a bit damp and had a slight odor. The mini-fridge was tucked away in a cabinet, and every time I opened it, I was hit with a wave of heat. I'm not sure how long the fridge will last, and it wasn't very cool anyway. (7.5/10)

The light switches were too complicated/not user-friendly.

A Luxurious Cliffside Escape: Alila Villas Uluwatu

Alila Villas Uluwatu is a masterpiece of luxury, perched on Bali’s dramatic southern cliffs. This resort offered stunning views, elegant design, and excellent service, making it a memorable experience for us.

We stayed in a One Bedroom Pool Villa, which was spacious, beautifully designed, and well-appointed with modern amenities and an indulgent mini-bar. 

Breakfast was the highlight of our dining experience. The serene cliffside views and a menu filled with fresh, healthy, and delicious options made each morning truly enjoyable. The international menu offered a variety of choices, all prepared with the finest ingredients. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented, adding to the overall charm of the experience.

The resort’s iconic cliff-edge cabana was an unforgettable spot to relax and soak in the panoramic ocean views. The tranquil atmosphere throughout the property provided a perfect setting to unwind and escape from the everyday routine.

The staff went above and beyond to enhance our stay. They kindly assisted us in booking tickets for the famous Kecak dance performance at the Uluwatu Temple, allowing us to skip the long lines and enjoy the experience seamlessly. Additionally, we enjoyed premium complimentary resort car access to Savaya Club, which made the journey as enjoyable as the destination. These thoughtful touches truly elevated our stay.

Alila Villas Uluwatu offers a luxurious escape that is perfect for couples, families, or anyone seeking a relaxing and memorable getaway. The One Bedroom Pool Villa provided comfort and elegance. The exceptional service, breathtaking views, and thoughtful conveniences like premium car access and seamless activity bookings make this resort a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the best of Bali.

I have to say, the SPA here, in an open-air courtyard, was incredibly relaxing! I was a bit embarrassed that I didn't have a tip that day and felt a little guilty afterwards. The hotel is completely nestled in a pristine jungle, and breakfast is served right next to towering trees. In the mornings, monkeys 🐒 even came to our room door, over twenty of them – quite a sight! The pool on a rainy day was also especially calming; with the lights, the raindrops seemed like blue sapphires, so beautiful.

I love everythings in this hotel. The concept is back to nature. So don't expect a gym. The hotel provides bicycles. There is yoga every Monday afternoon. There is taichi every Sunday morning. The place is very quiet. The room is big. The bed is comfortable. The food is good. But there is no buffet for breakfast, they provide ala carte. But you can order all the breakfast menu. They also have afternoon tea everyday from 3pm unti 5pm. My suggestion add more variants for the room service menu, especially the main course. Other than that everythings is good. Oh one more thing, all the staff very friendly and helpfull. They services very good. Thanks Alila.

My stay at Alila Bangsar was exceptional from start to finish. The hotel strikes a perfect balance between modern luxury and understated elegance, with a design that feels both stylish and calming. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making check-in smooth and stress-free.

The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean. I especially appreciated the thoughtful layout, comfortable bed, and large windows that offered stunning views of the city. Every detail—from the quality of the linens to the amenities provided—reflected a high level of care.

One of the highlights was the infinity pool, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view and a peaceful atmosphere to unwind. The dining options were also impressive, with delicious food and a well-curated menu that catered to different tastes.

The location is another major plus, conveniently connected to public transport and close to key areas, making it easy to explore the city.

Overall, Alila Bangsar exceeded my expectations. It’s an ideal choice whether you're visiting for business or leisure, and I would gladly return for another stay.

Honest review.. stay with the expectation of a 5-star hotel, but the experience is not comparable to the price.

The lobby and check-in process are quite good, the welcome drink is refreshing, and the concierge helpfully carried the luggage. Basement parking is also relatively easy.

Unfortunately, many important details reduce comfort. The door of the room does not have a stopper so it is often slammed loud and noisy. Soundproofing was not good, the sound from the next room was still heard. The room size is relatively small for the standard 5-star, and there is no minibar at all, even a paid one. For mineral water, use plastic bottles, not the premium ones with glass bottles. The lighting system was confusing and the bathroom lighting was too dim.

There are 4 elevators but it is very slow.. there is often a buildup of guests.

The pool area is also less well-organized such as having no concept and not weather-friendly because there is no shaded area. It's ridiculous, having to pay an extra 200rb for access to the whirlpool and jacuzzi.

Breakfast was a disappointment: the menu options were less varied, the taste was standard, and the service was less warm (officers lacked smiles).

Overall, I wouldn't really mind these things if the room price wasn't this muc, but with a rate above Rp 2 million per night, this experience is less worth it. Compared to 5-star hotels in Jogja and its surroundings, it is still quite far behind.
