"My third time staying at the abstract and I’m such a fan, it was nice that when I checked in they recognised me with a friendly welcome. The room was perfect for my stay, everything I need is within reach and I slept great both nights. In the past when I’ve stayed it’s been warmer weather but as it’s cooling down now I enjoyed the Dyson purifier which heats the room quickly when needed. The room was refreshed with clean bedding, towels and bins changed on the second day which I appreciated coming back to after being out. I would happily stay again next time I need to be in the city"

"A clean and spacious hotel located in the CBD. It's footsteps away from Skycity and within walking distance to Queen St and many restaurants, bars and conscience stores. The room was quite big with a comfortable bed and choices to pick different types of pillows. There was also in-room ironing board and the Wifi signals were strong. Would have been even better if there were better views of the city. Staff were professional and attentive, especially during late nights - as sometimes the access cards didn't allow you into the hotel, and you needed to use the intercom. Highly recommend and will be back in the future."

"Another solid stay at LyLo Auckland — and again, the staff were great and the pod itself was clean, modern, and in mostly good condition. Service was friendly, efficient, and the whole place feels well run. Two small things did reduce my enjoyment this time though. First, the offer of “early check-in” before 3pm for $15 feels a bit like a money grab. Realistically, unless you’re planning to sleep, there’s not much reason to be inside a pod at 2pm. I could understand a fee if it was before midday, but charging $15 at 1400 feels a bit excessive. Second, the fan in my pod wasn’t working. I really appreciated the staff bringing a mobile fan outside the pod, but it didn’t circulate enough cool air inside, which made it uncomfortable unless I left the door open — and that obviously reduces privacy. Aside from those two points, everything else was great, and once again much better than my experience at LyLo Christchurch. Keep up the good work — and congratulations to the staff for running such a well-managed and welcoming place."
