On the road toward the sea, the cable car slowly moved back and forth to the port. The laughter of travelers and the scent of the sea on the breeze mingled, lightening my spirit. The center of Fira boasted many small art galleries and boutiques, making it a pleasant place to stroll and browse. As time passed, the sunlight softened, and the white walls of Fira became awash in gold. The sea, seen from the hilltop, sparkled, as if preparing for the end of the day.
