Penghu Secret Place｜Waiyan Fishing Port Observation Deck & Sanxian Pagoda Walking Tour

#MarchGoodPlaces2025 During this trip to Penghu, I specially arranged a relatively static route suitable for walking and taking photos: Wai'an Fishing Port Observation Deck + Sanxian Pagoda. Wai'an is a very simple fishing village. The small fishing port is surrounded by hills. Standing on the observation deck, you can overlook the entire port. A whole row of colorful houses and small boats moored in the port give it a tranquil atmosphere of a Japanese town. The scenery of the sea and sky is very healing, whether it is early morning or dusk, there are different feelings. The weather was great that day. The sun shone on the sea, making the waves sparkle and sparkle, as beautiful as a scenic postcard. After leaving the observation deck, we walked to the Sanxian Pagoda not far away. It is actually a landmark with strong religious imagery and an excellent vantage point. Climbing to the top of the tower, you can enjoy a very broad view. You can overlook the coastline of Xiyu and even see the ancient banyan tree in Tongliang and the cross-sea bridge in the distance. Although the tower itself is not big, its architecture is quite distinctive and the surroundings are relatively quiet, making it a great place to quietly appreciate the scenery, daydream, or take some beautiful photos. Although this trip is not as lively as other attractions, it is the tranquility and simplicity that I particularly like. It is highly recommended for those who like slow travel or want to find a place to enjoy the sea breeze and watch the sea.
