Hidden Izakaya in Taikoo Shing

Today, I had the rare chance to stroll around Taikoo Shing. Since it's such a large area with so much to explore, I decided to find a place for dinner in the evening. I stumbled upon a Japanese izakaya and was intrigued by their fried pork cutlet rice. I ordered the A4 Wagyu Sukiyaki with Inaniwa Udon 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 Given the cold weather today, a sukiyaki hotpot was a must 🤩. Besides the Wagyu beef, the hotpot also came with udon and a vegetable platter, along with a raw egg to dip the beef in, making the meat even more tender and flavorful. The beef flavor was very rich. Additionally, I ordered the low-temperature fried pork cutlet set meal 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 The hot and crispy exterior combined with the tender and delicious pork cutlet inside was amazing 👍🏻. The tangy and sweet pork cutlet sauce elevated the dish even further. The set meal also included some appetizers to whet the appetite, along with miso soup and white rice. Finally, I had the Saikyo Miso Caramel Pudding for dessert 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 The name sounded odd at first because miso is usually a bit salty, and pairing it with pudding seemed strange. However, it turned out to be surprisingly good. The slightly salty miso combined with the sweet caramel and the ice cream-like smooth pudding was fantastic 👍🏻. The combinations were excellent, and I look forward to trying other dishes next time. I also had a can of cola and a Kyoho grape yogurt soda to wash it all down. A satisfying meal.
