Gifu Tourism: Hida Takayama!

#FuriTabi Takayama is a mountain city in Gifu Prefecture. The narrow streets of Sanmachi-dori, an old street, are lined with numerous small museums and wooden merchant houses dating back to the Edo period. The Takayama Festival, held in spring and autumn, is a historic festival that began in the mid-1600s and features gorgeous golden floats called "yatai" and mechanical puppets.
