[Gongju, South Korea] The National Gongju Museum, where even the storage facility is a highlight

The Chungcheong Regional Storage Facility was built to store and manage cultural assets excavated by the Chungcheong Regional National Museum (Gongju, Buyeo, Cheongju Museum). About 1,800 cultural assets are lined up behind glass, from Neolithic comb-patterned earthenware to white porcelain from the Joseon Dynasty. The display method is apparently inspired by the National Folk Museum in Paju, and even though it looks like a collection of broken pottery at first glance, I think the reason it is so fascinating to look at is because it has a universal beauty that goes beyond just my love of pottery. On the image panels, you can find out more about each item with just one click, and the exhibition-style storage space is also at the forefront in terms of information disclosure.
