Magical Exploration Route of the Star-Shaped Vault Church

Pilgrimage Along the Spanish Atlantic Coast ~ Basque Region This is one of the most important Gothic structures in Biscay, renowned especially for its external elements such as buttresses, flying buttresses, and spires. The church features three naves, each divided into four sections, culminating in a polygonal apse. The side naves are topped with simple ribbed vaults, while the central nave boasts a star-shaped ribbed vault. The cloister and chapels were later additions. Due to the central nave being taller than the side naves, the church's exterior appears slanted. The façade, located at the base of the church, showcases a variety of decorative styles. The main altarpiece is a prime example of Spanish-Flemish style sculpture still preserved on the Iberian Peninsula.
