Sengakuji Temple

Sengaku-ji Temple was founded in Sotosakurada by Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1612, but was destroyed in a great fire in 1641. It was rebuilt at its current location by order of Tokugawa Iemitsu... but it is famous for enshrining Asano Takumi-no-kami and the Ako Roshi. Within the temple grounds, there is also the Ako Gishi Memorial Museum, which houses items related to the Ako Roshi! It is a beautiful temple well worth seeing!
