Sengaku-ji Temple, a temple associated with the Ako Gishi

Sengaku-ji is a Soto Zen temple famous for being the graveyard of the Ako Gishi. Aside from the graveyard, there are many other famous sites related to the Ako Gishi, such as the bronze statue of Oishi Kuranosuke Yoshio and the well where the samurai washed the head of Kira Kozuke no Suke in the well water after fulfilling their wish. The Ako Gishi Memorial Museum also houses the samurai's valuable belongings and shows videos of the Chushingura.
