There is a free observation deck on the 8th floor, from which you can overlook the Kaminarimon Gate of Sensō-ji Temple, the Five-story Pagoda and Nakamise Shopping Street. It provides tourist consultation services and tourist brochures in 4 languages. It is located directly opposite the Kaminarimon Gate of Sensō-ji Temple. The exterior of the Asakusa Culture Tourist Center was designed by Japanese architectural master Kengo Kuma. It was completed and opened in 2012. Its style incorporates the local culture of Asakusa. The glass curtain reflects the color of the sky and allows natural light to penetrate into the interior. The eight-story building is a multi-functional space that combines tourist information services, cultural and artistic activities, and a landscape observatory. Except for the 3rd to 5th floors which are reserved for reservations and are not open to the public, the other floors are open to tourists. The 1st and 2nd floors are the tourist information area, the 6th and 7th floors are the multi-functional space area and exhibition area respectively, and the 8th floor is the Asakusa Observation Deck. The first floor is the tourist information service center, which provides international consulting services in four languages, including Japanese, Chinese, English and Korean. The center also provides free Wi-Fi, charging sockets and luggage storage services, so it can be used as a stop during the trip to take a short break, cool off and recharge. There is a large glass curtain viewing area on the second floor where you can admire the Kaminarimon Gate, and there is also a nursery on the second floor. You can take the elevator from the first floor to the observation deck on the 8th floor, but there are a lot of people lining up so you need to be patient. When you arrive at the 8th floor, you will see Sensoji Temple right in front of you, and you can see the Tokyo Skytree in front of you. In addition to the free viewing area, there is also a landscape cafe on the 8th floor, where you can also enjoy the view of Sensoji Temple. It is difficult to get a seat even on holidays. There are almost no seats for rest inside except for the cafe, so although there are many people on the observation deck, people will not stay for too long. You can move to the second-floor viewing area to enjoy the crowds of people from all over the world and the rickshaws in front of Kaminarimon, which is also quite interesting.
