Shanghai on Wheels: A Citywalk & Bike Ride Adventure 🚴

We discovered that locals in Shanghai often use bicycles as their transportation. The streets are filled with shared bikes, and the whole process is very convenient. You only need to scan the bike with Alipay app to unlock it, and the cost is very affordable, ranging from 1.5 to 3 RMB. Here’s my route for citywalk: ➊ Wukang Road as starting point. It’s a famous building where many photographers offer their services. We chose a Polaroid camera, only cost us 20 RMB per photo. ➋ Anfu Road: Along the way, we passed a beautiful flower shop and couldn’t resist buying a bouquet. After that, we checked in at 13 de Marzo, a bear-themed café, but the drinks were average. Further ahead, we reached Looknow, known for its Jellycat Vienna coffee. Highly recommended! It was delicious! ➌ Wulumuqi Road’s Tagi Gift Shop: The store’s design is very cute and tempting for purchases. The staff was very enthusiastic, and I got myself an adorable backpack. We had lunch at a local restaurant, savoring Shanghai’s must-try dish—squirrel fish. ➍ Yanqing Road: We had to check out Goodbai, founded by actor Bai Jingting. The interior design is very tasteful! The price very reasonable, A T-shirt cost 199 RMB, Shoes cost around 600RMB. ➎ Huaihai Road: This area is said to be a mini Hannam-dong, gathering Korean fashion brands like Tamburins, Gentle Monster, Nudake, etc. I got myself a small perfume from Tamburins and tried the croissant coffee latte at Nudake. ❻ Jing’an Temple: Of course, we had to get a blessing coffee, for good luck 🍀. ❼ Yuyuan Road: Finally arriving at our last stop, we found an adorable photo studio—TimeZero. It has Pingu-themed decorations, which are very cute! Ended our day happily! Summary: Highly recommend using bicycles for transportation in Shanghai. shanghai city is very bike-friendly, making city walks less tiring.
