As a travel blogger, I have been fortunate enough to visit some of the most fascinating destinations in the world. But there is one place that left a special impression on me, and that is the beautiful and vibrant 外滩 (The Bund) in Shanghai, China.
Spring in The Bund is simply magical. The cherry blossom trees bloom all around you creating a stunning pink canopy. The gentle breeze carries the sweet fragrance of these flowers, and the sound of nature is mixed with the constant chatter of people from different ethnicities and cultures. The vitality of this place is infectious, and you cannot help but feel energized the moment you step foot here.
When the sun goes down, the lights in The Bund come alive. The bright neon lights reflect on the Huangpu River creating a kaleidoscope of colors. The grandiose buildings around you light up, and you get the feeling of being in a scene from Blade Runner. This unique aura will take your breath away and will make you want to stay here forever.
Despite being a modern and ever-progressing city, The Bund remains deeply rooted in Chinese culture. This is evident from the architecture which represents a mix of traditional and contemporary styles. If you look closely, you will see the intricate designs on the walls of the buildings that reflect Chinese art and culture.
The diversity of the people in The Bund is also noteworthy. It is a melting pot of cultures, and you can see people from different parts of the world sharing their customs and traditions. The friendly locals make everyone feel welcome, and you will leave this place feeling enriched by the experience.
In summary, The Bund is a place that has everything you could ask for in a destination – nature, modernity, culture, and diversity. It is a traveler's paradise that will enrich your mind, body, and soul. So, come and experience the magic of The Bund!

Diaolou are made up of stone, pise, brick or concrete (but no cement). These kinds of buildings are from Ming Dynasty that serves as communal tower for families who built it for temporary refuge; as a residential tower for ricj families who built it and used as a fortified residence; and as a watch tower in defense with local banditry.

Starlight Night Market - Xishuangbanna
This market is a MUST if you visit Xishuangbanna! Here’s some information about the market :
The Starlight Night Market in Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna in southwest China's Yunnan Province, is the best place to catch a glimpse of local people's lives if you travel to Xishuangbanna. The market lies along the Lancang-Mekong River, featuring local food and creative handicrafts by the young. Most of the stalls are festooned with colorful oiled paper umbrellas, which evoke a feeling of being in Southeast Asia.
There’s a stall where you can get some pretty decent tacos!🌮
There’s a little bar located in the market. It was my favorite place! The drinks are very good and reasonably priced. If you go, please say hi to Dereck and Cherry for me!! 😎❤️

Tulip season in Jing’an
One of the most amazing things about Shanghai is how there are different flower seasons in different areas of the city during the year. March’s tulip season is one of the best. Going for a walk and finding such gorgeous flowers of different colors along the Avenue is just magic.
Tulip season is mostly in spring, extended to summer before the flowers lose their color. Funny how pedestrians in this big city sometimes forget about nature and we’re very surprised to see the fact these beautiful flowers were real. There are so many fake flowers in Shanghai that one lose count. Therefore, being able to see and touch them feels like a wonderful moment.
This particular location is along Line 7. Took myself to stop on my day just to enjoy the moment. To feel nature, embrace life and not just go with the busy flow of this big city. There are so many happy moments and magic around you if you care to look. That’s Shanghai.

A yummy bite of China 😋
🥢 The restaurant of Sheng Meng Hotel at #303 Jipu Rd. is well known among the locals for it is interior and delicious Zhejiang style food. The outside of the restaurant is quite average, but when you step inside, there is a whole new world, the door is like a portal to old Chinese street with tiled roofs, terraces, ancient bridges and boats, slowly floating in the ponds full of lotus leaves.
🥢 But it is worth coming not only for the interior, but for delicious Zhejiang province style food as well. But it might be a little challenging to order since there is no English on the menu. But there are pictures, so still not that hard. They also serve stinky fish. Thus I honestly won't recommend it to foreign fellas, but this dish is so hard to cook that it really shows the high class of the whole restaurant.
❤️ My personal top in this restaurant is: sweet taro, pig's feet, pastry cake with fruit, fried frog and tofu soup.
It is fine to come with kids, cause you can relax and enjoy your food while they are bisy with exploring the reastaurant. The stuff is quite friendly and as it is common in Chinese culture, people love kids and nobody complains then running around or being a bit noisy.

Backstreets of Huangpu, Shanghai🪭📍
The backstreets of Huangpu District, Shanghai🪭🇨🇳
Some of my favourite areas to be found in this city are the streets adjacent to The Bund, East Nanjing Road and the Huangpu River 🌇 people are often drawn in by the European-style architecture to be found along East Zhongshan Road but what hides behind is even more special🫶🏻
Hidden amidst the bustling skyscrapers and neon lights of Shanghai’s Huangpu district lie enchanting backstreets waiting to be explored. Wandering through these narrow lanes is like stepping into a time capsule, where traditional Shanghainese architecture and local life converge. Here, you’ll find quaint tea houses tucked away in century-old buildings, their red lanterns gently swaying in the breeze 📌🏮
Shanghai has become known for towering skyscrapers and illuminating lights but would you like to see these more traditional parts of Shanghai?🇨🇳

Baiyushan📍Secrets of beautiful Dalian
The more time I spend in Lushun, the more I find so many gems in it. The hike up is manageable for everyone. The higher I got up, the better the air got and quieter the surrounding became. I recommend going around 4:30pm to catch the sunset 🌅
Worth the 498 steps up🥰
Such a breathtaking view!
