Park Hyatt Hotel is simple, luxurious and artistic

▪️Park Hyatt Shanghai is hidden in Lujiazui, Shanghai World Financial Center. It is a low-key and private hotel designed by Chinese-American designer Tony Chi in eight years. It is a cloud mansion suspended 500 meters above the Magic City. ▪️During the Spring Festival, I once again experienced the mysterious and coolness of Park Hyatt, as well as its modern art. At the hidden entrance on the first floor, there is a lacquerware sculpture called “Appreciate Your Attention” by Japanese female sculptor Yuka Namekawa. It is two statues of people squatting with their eyes closed, like artifacts unearthed from prehistoric times. The shape is simple and concise, and it humbly pays tribute to people. See Figure 2 ▪️The front desk of Park Hyatt is on the 87th floor. At the elevator exit, you can see the sculpture of Yuka Namekawa squatting with her eyes closed. See Figure 1 ▪️Please, a work by female sculptor Xie Aige Man), quietly placed in a corner of the front lobby. It is a half-length portrait of a bald man with his face up, wearing a Chinese gown. The image is humorous, and his expression and hand gestures have profound meanings. It is by no means simple and plain. This is a ceramic sculpture created by Xie Aiger for the Park Hyatt Hotel Shanghai in 2007. See Figure 3 ▪️In some inconspicuous corners of the front lobby, there is a copperplate print "Mobile Plan" by Japanese artist Takahama Toshiya hanging on the wall. The monochrome copperplate print created in an abstract form shows the world in his eyes. ▪️There are many jokes about travel and home under the spotlights on the wall of the front lobby. "A man travels the world over in search of what he needs and returns home to find it", which is a quote from the Irish poet George Augustus Moore, and also the philosophy of Park Hyatt. ▪️The Park Hyatt in Shanghai has a great artistic taste, where you can see the world’s contemporary art style, both Chinese and international. The depth of the artwork is unexpected. It looks plain, but you have to switch channels to appreciate it. This may be another charm of Park Hyatt.
