Petra’s Byzantine Church

Possibly one of the most underappreciated and perhaps somewhat overlooked sights at Petra is the ruins of the Byzantine church. Archaeologist believe the church was originally built in the second half of the fifth century CE. When I was exploring this site in Petra I was the only person there but the mosaics here are so well preserved.
