Ancient City Centre of Petra

It’s amazing to see the ancient city centre of Petraz unfortunately massively destroyed by an earthquake in 363, which really marked the beginning of Petra’s eventual decline . However it’s incredible to walk down this colonnaded street and think about all the different people that walks down the street thousands of years ago. This main street was built by the Romans in the second century A.D. the street probably had market stalls where people engaged in lots of commercial activities. #celebrateit #ancient #nabatean #petra
