Old town vibes 🇵🇱

#summerdestinations This summer, I spent a day wandering through the enchanting streets of Old Town Gdańsk, and it was nothing short of magical! The heart of the city is brimming with history, and for just 25 PLN ($6), you can step back in time as you stroll down the famous Długa Street, lined with colorful, intricately designed buildings. The architecture is absolutely stunning, and the Gothic-style St. Mary’s Basilica is a must-see—it’s the largest brick church in the world, and entry is only 12 PLN ($3). One of my favorite spots was the Neptune Fountain, a symbol of Gdańsk’s maritime history. Nearby, the Artus Court, which served as a meeting place for merchants, is another impressive sight. I also popped into the Amber Museum (20 PLN or $5), where I learned so much about the "Baltic Gold" that the city is famous for. After exploring, I took a break at a riverside cafe along the Motława River, soaking in the view of the medieval crane and enjoying some delicious Polish pierogi. If you have time, I highly recommend a quick trip to Westerplatte, about a 15-minute drive away, where World War II began. It’s a somber yet important historical site.
