#summerdestinations This summer, I had an amazing time visiting the Gdańsk Ship Museum, located in the heart of Gdańsk, Poland, along the Motława River. 🛳️⚓ The museum, housed in a beautifully preserved medieval crane, offers a deep dive into the city’s rich maritime history. The entrance fee is about 20 PLN for adults, which is quite reasonable given the extensive exhibits. Inside, I was fascinated by the impressive collection of ship models, historical artifacts, and interactive displays. One of the highlights was climbing inside a replica of a 17th-century ship, which really gave me a sense of what life at sea was like back then. The museum does a fantastic job of blending historical information with engaging exhibits, making it fun for both adults and kids. The panoramic view from the crane’s top floor was breathtaking, offering a unique perspective of Gdańsk’s waterfront and the historic Old Town. After the museum, I strolled along the picturesque promenade and enjoyed some local seafood at one of the riverside cafes. Nearby attractions include the European Solidarity Centre, which is a short walk away and provides insight into Poland’s modern history, and the scenic Long Market, where you can admire the colorful facades of historic buildings.
