Save it for later! - 📒Important Information 1️⃣ Egypt offers a visa on arrival, which is convenient and fast. It costs USD 25. 2️⃣ You can withdraw money or exchange currency at the airport. ATMs are too complicated and a waste of time. 3️⃣ Book a private car and driver online. Many drivers speak Chinese. It's convenient and you won't be easily scammed with a local around. Taxis are inconvenient in Cairo, and driving is difficult because the roads are crowded. - 📷Must-Visit Attractions 1️⃣ Giza Pyramids: It's a 30-minute drive from downtown Cairo. Tickets recently increased to over EGP 500. You can drive inside. It's huge and you can spend 3–4 hours there. 2️⃣ National Museum of Egyptian Civilization: You must visit this museum. You can see 22 mummies inside. It's amazing. 3️⃣ Khan el-Khalili: A very down-to-earth place with exotic vibes and great photo opportunities. You can buy things in the market, but you need to know how to haggle. Cut the price in half. - 🚶Itinerary Suggestions: For a one-day itinerary, visit the pyramids in the morning, the museum in the afternoon, and Khan el-Khalili in the evening. If you have time, you can also take a Nile River night cruise. - 🏨Accommodation: Fairmont Nile City Hotel I stayed at the Fairmont Hotel on the banks of the Nile River in Cairo. The view and location are amazing. It's a luxury hotel under Accor, and the service and quality are excellent for Cairo. The hotel has several restaurants with different styles and a rooftop pool that's great for photos. I love the guest rooms the most. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a panoramic view of the Nile River and the city sunset in the evening. - Traveling in Egypt is worth it. Be careful and avoid contact with strangers, and you'll have a great trip.
