How to Explore the Pyramids: A Guide Based on Experience

The pyramid complex is vast, and not being archaeologists, we don't need to explore every corner. The weather is hot, and visits typically last 3 to 4 hours. Based on feedback and experience, here are two classic routes: ⚠️ Before discussing the routes, here are the must-visit spots at the pyramids (starting from the North Gate): 1️⃣ Get up close to the Great Pyramid of Khufu. As the iconic pyramid, it's worth a close encounter, while the other two don't require the same attention. 2️⃣ The front of Khufu. Enter from the North Gate, walk along the left side of Khufu, and turn right to reach the front. It's a great spot for photos without backlighting, capturing the grandeur. 3️⃣ Inside the Queen's Pyramid next to Khufu. The interior of Khufu is not recommended, but the Queen's Pyramid is included in the regular ticket. It's a must-visit, with a shallow burial chamber, offering a mini-version experience of entering a pyramid. 4️⃣ Continue forward from the Queen's Pyramid to a mastaba (tomb) that is also open for entry. 5️⃣ ⚠️ The photo spot for six pyramids. This is the best photography location in the entire area. 6️⃣ Camel or horse carriage ride. As shown in my previous video, you can view the pyramids from a slow-moving carriage, eliminating the need to walk to other pyramids. A close encounter with Khufu is sufficient; the others can be viewed from the carriage. 7️⃣ The Sphinx. Needless to say, it's a must for photos and visits. ⚠️ Visiting these spots is sufficient and is the choice of most visitors. Seeing more isn't necessary, as time is limited and the heat is intense. Route arrangements can be seen in the map, but I'll briefly explain: ❤️ Enter from the North Gate, get up close to the Great Pyramid of Khufu, take photos on the large stones, then walk left to the south side (front) of Khufu for photos. Enter the Queen's Pyramid, then proceed to the mastaba. Afterward, take a carriage or camel to the six pyramids photo spot. During this ride, you can view the other two pyramids, as visiting Khufu makes it unnecessary to see the others up close. After photographing the six pyramids, take a carriage or camel to visit the Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre, then exit the pyramid complex. ❤️❤️ Entering from the South Gate: Visit the Valley Temple of Khafre, then the Sphinx. Nearby, there are few camels or carriages, so walk up the causeway. Near the Pyramid of Khafre, there's a gathering area for camels and carriages. From here, have them take you to the six pyramids photo spot, then proceed to the vicinity of the Great Pyramid of Khufu. Follow the reverse order of the North Gate route: visit the mastaba, the interior of the Queen's Pyramid, the front of Khufu, get up close to Khufu for photos, and exit through the North Gate.
