Best Route to Explore the Giza Pyramids 🐫

1️⃣ Location of the Pyramids: Start your journey from Cairo by calling an Uber, which costs around 120 EGP. Set your destination to the EL Ahram Police Station as shown in Map 3. Drivers might try to drop you off at the South Gate, but insist on being taken to the North Gate instead. 2️⃣ Pyramid Tickets: Only Visa cards are accepted, no cash. Tickets cost 540 EGP for adults and 270 EGP for students. For entry into the Great Pyramid of Khufu, it's 900 EGP for adults and 450 EGP for students. The government rate is 500 EGP per hour, but you can negotiate with the staff. How much you can bargain depends on your skills. 5️⃣ Tour Route: Many bloggers recommend entering through the North Gate and exiting through the South Gate. I tested it, and it is indeed the best route! See Image 1 for reference. 6️⃣ Six Pyramid Viewpoint: As shown in Image 2, walk forward on the concrete road from the Khafre Pyramid, turn left onto the sand, and continue past the Menkaure Pyramid. Keep going until you reach a concrete area, which is the classic viewpoint for all six pyramids! If you enjoy adventure and have good stamina, you can walk there, but it's quite far, and the UV rays are intense. It's better to take a carriage or camel to the viewpoint to admire the six pyramids. Make sure to apply sunscreen when riding a camel, as an hour under the desert sun can easily cause sunburn!
