It stands atop a mountain that stands alone in the plains. The castle hill on which it stands is 132 meters above sea level. It takes 20-30 minutes to walk there, but the easiest way to get up is by taking the ropeway. You can climb the castle tower until 5:00 PM, but Honmaru Square is open from 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM, so I saw a lot of older people walking there. It's a pretty steep climb, so I was panting as I climbed, but everyone was so fast! I was surprised! From the castle tower, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Seto Inland Sea and Matsuyama city.
