The most interesting feature is its richly decorated Baroque tower

Traveling westward in Spain ~ Badajoz Province (region) It was expanded successively over the next two centuries. Its floor plan is in the shape of a Latin cross and, in addition to the sacristy, it has three naves and several adjacent chapels. The main church was enlarged at the end of the 16th century and houses an outstanding Baroque altarpiece by José de la Barrera (1691). Other interesting features include the Gospel facade and tower (1759), both in the 18th-century Baroque style. The facade takes the form of an altarpiece, with four glazed ceramic panels representing saints. The tower is divided into three parts: the first is made of granite blocks, the other two floors are heavily decorated with stucco, tiles, bricks and glazed ceramics. There is a lantern and a miniature dome at the top of the tower. #2024TravelReview #SpainTravel #Extremadura
