The Hong Kong Museum of Art's "Good Things in Style" exhibition brings a unique viewing experience with different temperaments

The Hong Kong Museum of Art will hold the "Good Things in Style - Exhibition of Masterpieces from the Hong Kong Museum of Art Collection" from June 30, selecting nearly 100 artworks of different artistic styles from ancient and modern times, China and abroad, from the museum's rich collection, and summarizing them into four major temperament types for display, allowing the audience to appreciate art from an interactive and interesting perspective and embark on a unique journey of personal aesthetic experience. Before visiting the exhibition, visitors can take a "temperament test" and then enter the four major exhibition areas of "Elegance and Refinedness", "Striving for Perfection", "Fashionable Sensitivity" or "Adventurous Pioneering" according to the test results to appreciate the "exclusive collections" that match their temperament and personality. Highlights include Wu Guanzhong's "Sea Breeze", Lin Yousen's "Iron Tree", a Qing Kangxi blue and white jar with water waves and dragon patterns, a Northern Song Dynasty Fujian Jianyang kiln black-glazed tea bowl with rabbit-hair patterns, and Zhang Wei's "Fountain·Fan Kuan vs Duchamp". The art museum invited artist Liang Jiaxian to tailor-make corresponding hand-painted characters for the exclusive collections, and local brand Xiangyan formulated five exclusive scents for each exhibition area. Limited edition scent stickers were distributed on site, allowing visitors to experience an endless artistic journey. The museum also invited two Hong Kong artists, Yuen Ka Yee and Lee Po Yee, to create new site-specific art installations inspired by the museum’s collections. Yuen Ka-yee used ready-made objects to create a rotatable sculpture called "Where to Land", which, combined with light projection, creates a dreamlike scene on the wall, forming her experience of Hong Kong's multicultural society. Paper-cutting artist Li Baoyi often travels between Hong Kong and Los Angeles. Her work "Birdsong. The work "Fragrance of Flowers" uses hand-cuts to create a large pond with ripples, and uses augmented reality to construct a world of birdsong and flowers. It protects and promotes traditional Chinese craftsmanship with modern aesthetics. The work also reflects her desire to find her roots in her hometown while in a foreign land. "Stylish Stuff - Masterpieces from the Hong Kong Museum of Art Collection" is held on the first floor and ground floor annex of the Hong Kong Museum of Art, 10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.
