The Living Fossil of the Silk Road

Bukhara, with a history of over 2,500 years, is known as the "Living Fossil of the Silk Road." Compared to the prosperity and brilliance of Samarkand, its soul is more low-key and solemn. As the capital of the Samanid dynasty, it became the center of scholarship, science, and art in the Islamic world, once the city with the highest concentration of scholars along the Silk Road, shining with stars and rich in academic atmosphere. It is also the hometown of Afanti and the origin of the stories in "One Thousand and One Nights." Walking through it feels like watching an old Central Asian film in pale yellow tones, without dramatic twists but telling its story gently.
