Magnificent Central Asian castle

#September2025 The Ark of Bukhara, located in Bukhara, the capital of Uzbekistan, is a millennia-old fortress that once served as the palace of the Emir of Bukhara. It is approximately 800 meters long, with walls 16-20 meters high. The fortress houses palaces, mosques, prisons, and administrative buildings, symbolizing the power and glory of the past. Historically, it was first built around the 5th century AD and has been rebuilt and expanded several times since then. It served as the residence of the Emir (monarch) as well as an administrative and military center. Parts of the site are now in ruins, but the restored area houses a museum showcasing Bukhara's history and culture.
