When lanterns light up at dusk, the whole courtyard exudes timeless oriental charm. Enjoy Chinese & Western breakfast each morning, complimentary herbal tea throughout the day and warm evening dessert. Our thoughtful service caters to both domestic and overseas travellers. Slow down your journey at Wangyue Courtyard and await the moon rising over Kunming.

"Very lovely hotel, situated right nearby of the old town area. It took us 10 mins walk from the night streets. The hotel itself has amazing traditional decoration. Room is clean and well-equipped with amenities. The breakfast is really delicious, big portion, and the reception made sure we choose our breakfast once we checked in. There are also some activities like welcome drink, local tea testing and mid-night nourishing soup. The only downside is that the hotel doesn’t have a lift, so may need to consider if you have elderly guests. The highest rooms are on the 2nd floor. Highly recommended!"

The time to watch seagulls is from 9:00 to 11:00 in the morning and 15:00 to 17:00 in the afternoon. These two periods are the most active periods for seagulls; the jacaranda in Kunming usually blooms from the end of April to mid-May. The specific time may vary depending on the climate and year. The viewing location: Jiaochang Middle Road, Chuncheng Road, Cuihu Park, Beijing Road; there are many snacks around: Fat big bowl small pot rice noodles, a mushroom hot pot, Huamanlou flower cake, three pieces of roasted potatoes (local roasted small tofu); Internet celebrity check-in places: Zhuanxin Farmers' Market, Dounan Flower Market, Jingxing Flower Street, Cuihu, Jinma Bijifang, Haiyan Village, Qicai Yunnan Happy World, etc.; If you still have time, you can go to Haitang Park to have a breeze and see Dianchi Lake, climb the west mountain, and visit Yunnan ethnic village, Wuyuan, Daguan Tower, Panlong Temple, etc.; Chuncheng Kunming makes you feel like you are in the spring breeze; Chuncao Elf Hotel brings you a different experience; the hotel decoration style is warm and simple, and it is a semi-intelligent economical hotel. The Totoro Elf Hotel currently has stores in many cities across the country, and you are welcome to like you at any time!

"Overall, the service was good and the staff were helpful. The bed was also comfortable and everything was fine during our stay. The biggest issue for me was the bathroom design. There is no proper barrier between the shower area and the rest of the bathroom, so the floor gets very wet after showering. I actually slipped and fell once because of the wet floor, so I think this is something the hotel should improve for guests’ safety. On the positive side, the hotel is located right in the heart of the city, so it’s very convenient and close to many places. For Muslim travellers, it’s also very easy to find halal food as there are plenty of halal restaurants around the area. One thing to note is that DiDi usually drops passengers at Four Seasons, and from there you need to walk around 200 metres to reach the hotel. Not a big issue, but good to know in advance. Overall, the location is excellent and very convenient, but I hope the hotel can improve the bathroom design to make it safer for guests."

Hotel near Nanping Pedestrian Street,Kunming
The Jinbi Hall Hotel (Nanping Pedestrian Street Jinma Bijifang Branch) is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. Visitors to Kunming will find that the Jinbi Hall Hotel (Nanping Pedestrian Street Jinma Bijifang Branch) is a fantastic accommodation choice. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Kunming Railway Station located approximately 3km away and Kunming Changshui International Airport roughly 26km away. The closest major public transportation, Tangzixiang Metro Station, is only 1km away. This hotel is located near many of Kunming's attractions including Zhenqing Taoist Temple, Nie Er Former Residence and Paper-thin Building in Kunming Old Street. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. Guests of this Kunming hotel can make use of the parking facilities. Our guests consider this hotel to have excellent service. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"Facilities: A bit old, but generally pretty good. The bed is neither too soft nor too hard. The duvet is fine with the AC on, but it can get a bit warm without it, given Kunming's large temperature variations. There's a small garden and an outdoor hot tub, but apparently it's not usable. It's very photogenic though! The living room and bedroom are separate, which is great for families or multiple families staying together as you can chat comfortably. There are also seating areas in the room corridors where you can relax and talk. Being inside the scenic area, the courtyard rooms are quiet. Other room types might be a bit noisier. At midday, it can feel quite bustling outside with traffic and vendors calling out. The courtyard suites, however, are not noisy at all. The location is in the Jinbi area, not far from Nanping Old Street. Just cross a road and walk through Nanping Hui, and you're in a commercial area. For food and drinks, there are snacks right downstairs, though not many main courses. I think the options across the street are better. The hotel breakfast is à la carte and needs to be ordered a day in advance. We tried it one day, but after that, we opted for takeout or ate out. The hotel service is quite good. They have a butler service, and the staff's attitude is very pleasant. When we had a delay, they helped us coordinate a later checkout. For transport, since it's within the scenic area, you'll probably need to walk a bit after getting off the car. However, you can also have your car drive to the parking lot, and there's an elevator near the exit that takes you up."

"Location: Great location right on Nanping Road, with several bubble tea shops downstairs and close to the pedestrian street, making it super convenient for late-night snacks. Hygiene: Decent, though there seemed to be some mold on the ceiling and similar areas. Facilities: The curtains had a slight flaw, but everything else was fine. A tip: check the weather forecast before booking the starry sky room; the sound of rain can be so loud it's impossible to sleep. Service: Excellent."

"1️⃣ At checkout, they asked if there was anything unsatisfactory, and I briefly mentioned a few things. But then the hidden agenda emerged: they asked me not to leave a bad review on Trip.com. Okay, fine, I won't. But surely I can still write about my honest experience, right? 2️⃣ From an attitudinal standpoint, their approach is fundamentally flawed. In the service industry, a breakdown in management directly impacts the guest experience. They neither want to improve nor accept genuine feedback – it's truly sad. They seem to want to shirk their responsibilities and standards through such tactics. Why does the hotel spend so much money employing these people? Is it just a 'clock-in, clock-out' mentality? If so, I understand, but then that's a problem with leadership and management. 3️⃣ Let's review everything from start to finish. At check-in, none of the complimentary benefits included in the Trip.com package – whether useful or not – were proactively explained to me on how to use them. Upon entering the room, the strap for the slippers was just lying scattered on the floor. The breakfast, for a hotel in this price range, was rarely this bad, especially for a hotel at this price point and location in a tier 3 or 4 city. Both the Western and Chinese selections were poor. And they used Yili for yogurt and milk? They should really go learn from the St. Regis in Shanghai. When I went for breakfast, even though it was peak hour, there was no one at the entrance to greet guests. Everyone seemed to be helping inside. I stood there for a while before I just walked in myself – a basic mistake that shouldn't happen. After being shown to a table, there was no routine inquiry about whether I'd like any soft drinks. 4️⃣ The large Grohe system in the pool's main shower room was completely broken beyond repair. The handle was off, and the overhead shower was completely clogged. There was no sign that they intended to fix it. Could it be that the pool's water system isn't connected to a water softener? 5️⃣ For over 2,000 RMB, there aren't many choices in Kunming. The hardware is currently impeccable, and the room design is good – taste is subjective, of course. But the public area design is truly outstanding, not inferior to the design style of the Rosewood Guangzhou. You can tell a lot of money was spent. However, that's all you're paying for – this design. The service is comparable to that of a budget chain hotel costing a few hundred RMB, and in some cases, even worse. There's no need to compare it to the neighboring Shangri-La either; their service is also a mess, with a feeling that all the new staff were put to work without proper training. But in terms of public areas, honestly, the Grand Hyatt is more grand than the Shangri-La."

French Elegance Meets Spring City Moments in This Hotel 【New Urban Landmark, Carefree Stay】 As a newly opened boutique hotel in the heart of Kunming’s old town, the Kasion Hotel Kunming features a modern 10-story building housing refined guest rooms. Strategically located at the convergence of the city’s key arteries, it is within walking distance of popular trendy restaurants and just steps away from historic districts and commercial centers, offering both business travelers and urban explorers an ideal retreat that balances vibrancy and tranquility. 【Versatile Spaces, Redefining the Stay Experience】 The hotel reimagines traditional spatial concepts: a 200-person banquet hall with a soaring domed ceiling sets a ceremonial tone; a landscape pool surrounded by greenery blurs the lines between indoors and outdoors. The lobby lounge, filled with the rich aroma of coffee by day, transforms into a social hub for evening drinks by night. Additional amenities include co-working areas, private dining rooms for Chinese cuisine, as well as personalized spaces such as a wellness center, family cinema, and children’s play zone—catering seamlessly to business, family, and leisure needs. 【French Aesthetics, Naturally Infused】 With a palette grounded in black and white and accented by deep green, the design team blends French elegance into the essence of Kunming. Geometric lines define the spaces, where tropical greenery extends from corridors into guest rooms, and custom furniture harmonizes with curated art pieces. Each room features a viewing window, framing either the distant Dianchi Lake and mountains or the city’s neon lights like a natural painting—embodying an immersive “modern garden” living aesthetic in every detail.

"Here's my review: **1. Breakfast: 7/10.** Definitely better than Atour or Hualuxe, but the Western selection isn't what you'd typically find in a luxury hotel. They had some pre-sliced ham that was decent. There was also an à la carte menu on the table with items like salmon and eggs, which suggests the owner initially aimed for a super high-end offering, but you get what you pay for. **2. Hardware: 7.5/10.** The public areas are pretty good; for a 5-diamond hotel, it's decent. It doesn't quite reach 5-star luxury standards, though. Many areas use a dark green, faux-marble material that looks quite textured. This faux-stone texture is similar to what you'd find at the Wyndham Grand Yichang, InterContinental Xiangyang, and Conrad Chongqing, but the details aren't as refined. The mattress is quite supportive, not soft, which I really like – similar to JW Marriott and Wanda hotels. The linens are decent. The mini-bar was empty, and they use Yibao bottled water. The slippers have thick soles and are very good; I asked for two pairs when I left. **3. Service:** First, a shout-out to the service. The hotel gave me complimentary souvenirs upon check-in and check-out without asking for a good review. The service during breakfast, item delivery, and changing rooms for a late-night check-in was all very good. The most basic room type has a projector, so if that's an issue for you, book a room above the base category. Now for the downsides. Firstly, the soundproofing is average, which is a common issue with most non-luxury hotels. Thankfully, the location isn't super busy, so I slept well at night. The location is okay; it's not far from Kunming Station, and there's an internet café about 100 meters away. Oh, and the headboard decoration in the guest rooms resembles a certain hotel in Shenzhen, which is quite nice. The hotel's swimming pool and the third-floor terrace garden are relatively ordinary, not as impressive as the lobby. Overall, I'd still recommend it for those who aren't too picky about their accommodation, especially since it's affordable."

I chose InterContinental Kunming, which has been open for over ten years, because of its location by Dian Lake. It's about a ten-minute walk to the lake, and the surrounding area is very quiet. Old doesn't necessarily mean outdated. The lobby's central axis symmetrical layout gives off a strong and stable aura. The staff are present and attentive without being overly intrusive. This sense of space and appropriate discretion is something many trendy 'influencer' hotels struggle to provide. The hotel's garden area is quite large, with palm and coconut trees giving it a Southeast Asian resort feel. There were even fragrant osmanthus flowers in bloom. The hotel's breakfast spread is very rich, with many Kunming specialties. I loved the rice noodles, each bowl freshly cooked in a copper pot, with both red broth and chicken broth options, catering to both strong and light palates. The 'posu bao' (flaky steamed bun), sticky rice, and the hotel's homemade flower cakes and Yunnan ham biscuits were just as good as, if not better than, those from famous brands outside. There was also yogurt from Gejiu, and you could tell by the taste that the ingredients were pure! I stayed for a week and didn't get tired of breakfast. Hope to see you again next time!

I arrived at Changshui International Airport late at 2:15 a.m. I called the hotel’s customer service to request an airport pickup. They responded quickly, and the driver arrived about 10 minutes after the booking was confirmed. The room was spacious, but it had a slight smell because it was a smoking room, even though I had requested a non-smoking room during booking. The next morning, I had breakfast, which was good, and we departed from the hotel to the airport at 8:00 am sharp. Overall it was a good stay, staffs are friendly and helpful.

This was the most comfortable hotel I stayed at during my days in Kunming. Although the hotel decor is a bit dated, you can tell a lot of thought went into it. The service, in particular, was excellent. Every staff member I encountered was incredibly genuine. I really felt the sincerity and kindness of the Yunnan people. The hot springs were also quite clean. The breakfast at this place was exceptionally well-prepared; the ingredients and flavors were all delightful. I'll definitely return after their renovation is complete.

One thing I like about this hotel is that it is not crowded with people, front desk is very responsive and they try their utmost best to please their guests. Had a restful sleep and pleased that I was able to get hot showers. Didn't try their breakfast at their level 9 restaurant as they mentioned only certain days they have halal breakfast. No in room fridge but there are convenience stores nearby, at night there are fruit sellers along the road. There is a hospital nearby and a police post. Pharmacy nearby and quite please with the area. Even though there are No Smoking Signs, other guest do smoke in the hotel. And low season means there are fewer guest so, lesser smokers there, which I am happy about. They have self service laundry room with one washer and a separate dryer. Quite happy with that too. Thank you front desk ladies for your service and for the breakfast packs given to us for our departure to the airport. Apologies for not able to take the airport transfer due to my Mother in Law's knees. Hope to see you all soon!

Facilities: Very stylish decor, great atmosphere. Cleanliness: Very clean! Environment: The surrounding pedestrian street has beautiful lights and architecture, and it's super close to the Seven-Arch Floating Bridge, making it convenient for watching seagulls!! Service: We had a lot of luggage, and the staff helped us with our luggage both when we arrived and left, which was very thoughtful. Pet-friendly, my rabbit had a great time! Although the room lighting was a bit dim, the garden was absolutely beautiful! It had large blossoms, including plum, winter cherry, and roses, which were all stunning! The hotel shares an owner with the Lavande next door, and the view outside the window was also lovely. The hotel is located right by Dianchi Lake, with separate lanes for vehicles and pedestrians. There's an observation deck not far from the hotel, and it's about 800-900 meters to Haigeng Park and Haihong Wetland. However, you still have to walk further to get to the cable car station, and I estimate the dam is even further – I didn't go there. The hotel is 2.3 kilometers from Xingti Road Station on Metro Line 5. Our package included one complimentary drop-off service to the metro station, which was really good. It would be even better if they offered round-trip shuttle service to the metro for backpackers. However, there aren't many shops around the hotel. For dining, it's either the hotel restaurant or ordering takeout. Park 1903 Commercial Street is about 3 kilometers away, so it's more suitable if you have a car. The hotel service was excellent. The front desk staff, housekeeping, and drivers were all incredibly gentle and friendly. The manager even proactively helped us with our luggage. The hotel is quite understated; in fact, the observation deck not far away offers amazing sunrise views, but they never promote it.

For foreign tourists who want to visit the Karst Stone scenic areas, ie Stone Forest, the hotel is just a short walk down the road. Breakfast is buffet style and good. Meals can also be purchased. Locationwise necessitates the use of a vehicle to get to the hotel. Trip.com needs to update the hotel's name on its site. The Hotel's name is not Shilinxuan Holiday Inn. The name or names on the signage is Sloane Place and Holiday Inn Bosheng Shilin.
