"Very lovely hotel, situated right nearby of the old town area. It took us 10 mins walk from the night streets.
The hotel itself has amazing traditional decoration. Room is clean and well-equipped with amenities. The breakfast is really delicious, big portion, and the reception made sure we choose our breakfast once we checked in.
There are also some activities like welcome drink, local tea testing and mid-night nourishing soup.
The only downside is that the hotel doesn’t have a lift, so may need to consider if you have elderly guests. The highest rooms are on the 2nd floor.

"I arrived at the airport late the night before, but the hotel's pick-up service was perfectly arranged. The driver was already waiting, and even proactively helped with my luggage, completely saving me the hassle of finding a taxi in the middle of the night. Upon arrival, front desk staff member #6 was incredibly friendly and polite, and check-in was very efficient. She also thoughtfully informed me of all the important details. After a long and tiring journey, the warm and thoughtful service from the staff made me feel so much better, and the room environment was also excellent. The overall service was impeccable, I highly recommend this hotel! It will definitely be my first choice next time I visit Kunming!"

"Overall, we had a very comfortable stay here. The hotel was clean and the location was great — conveniently located around the centre of most of the tourist attractions, so getting around was really easy.
The bed was comfortable, although it was a little small for 4 people. Breakfast was good with plenty of options to choose from. One small thing to note is that the reception is on Level 7, so you’ll need to head up there for check-in.
I also liked the laundry setup! You can actually check the TV in your room to see how many washing machines and dryers are available, which was surprisingly useful 😂
The hotel also gave us a complimentary 2-hour late check-out, which was a nice bonus. Overall, a clean and convenient place to stay with some thoughtful touches!"

"Facilities: A bit old, but generally pretty good. The bed is neither too soft nor too hard. The duvet is fine with the AC on, but it can get a bit warm without it, given Kunming's large temperature variations. There's a small garden and an outdoor hot tub, but apparently it's not usable. It's very photogenic though!
The living room and bedroom are separate, which is great for families or multiple families staying together as you can chat comfortably. There are also seating areas in the room corridors where you can relax and talk.
Being inside the scenic area, the courtyard rooms are quiet. Other room types might be a bit noisier. At midday, it can feel quite bustling outside with traffic and vendors calling out. The courtyard suites, however, are not noisy at all.
The location is in the Jinbi area, not far from Nanping Old Street. Just cross a road and walk through Nanping Hui, and you're in a commercial area. For food and drinks, there are snacks right downstairs, though not many main courses. I think the options across the street are better. The hotel breakfast is à la carte and needs to be ordered a day in advance. We tried it one day, but after that, we opted for takeout or ate out.
The hotel service is quite good. They have a butler service, and the staff's attitude is very pleasant. When we had a delay, they helped us coordinate a later checkout.
For transport, since it's within the scenic area, you'll probably need to walk a bit after getting off the car. However, you can also have your car drive to the parking lot, and there's an elevator near the exit that takes you up."

"I chose this hotel for an early morning transfer the next day. They offer complimentary airport pick-up and drop-off service. All I had to do was give them a call upon arrival at the airport, and they were there right away. When I got to the hotel, the front desk had my room card ready, presented a welcome gift, processed the check-in, and then returned my passport. The hotel also provides late-night snacks; a warm bowl of rice noodles is incredibly comforting for travelers who've just landed. For this price, service, and room quality, it's definitely a must-recommend! 👍👍👍👍"

"Yitel Premium is situated in a fantastic location in Kunming! Super close to Old Street where you can find tons of food, shopping, teas & coffees galore! The hotel was lovely - super comfortable bed, good smelling bathroom amenities, and complimentary water. We used the laundry facility and it was very useful. "Exiting the hotel and turning left, walking down the slope past a traffic light, it's less than a five-minute walk to the east gate of Cuihu Lake – super convenient!
The front desk staff were very welcoming, offering freshly made flower cakes upon check-in, and there were welcome fruits in the room. The twin room was clean and spacious, with a separate wet and dry area, and a powerful shower. The room curtains were quite thick, which is great for light sleepers. From the window, you could even catch a glimpse of Cuihu Lake, which was a pleasant surprise.
Many of Kunming's important attractions are located around Cuihu Lake, making it very easy to explore. There are also plenty of dining options nearby – I loved it!
I stayed for three days, went for a five-kilometer run around Cuihu Lake, and visited the Zhuanxin Farmers' Market, Yunnan University, Southwest Associated University, and the old streets. Unfortunately, I went on a Monday, so several memorial halls were closed, which was a shame.
Overall, apart from the hotel breakfast needing some improvement in food quality, the other services and room size were excellent. In particular, the hotel offers great value for money and is definitely worth revisiting!"

"Having traveled to over 20 countries, this is my first time reviewing an accommodation. When you're on the road, you often miss home. But not here! We booked the Loft, with a living room on the first floor and a bedroom on the second, it felt just like home. We enjoyed tea daily, and the hotel even provided complimentary afternoon tea. The 24-hour butler service was excellent, always available and responsive. They thoughtfully prepared a travel guide for us. The daily breakfast was a delicious mix of Chinese and Western options! We will definitely be back."

Guest UserI was torn between several hotels near Kunming Station, looking at Hilton, Orange Hotel, and Hanting Hotel, among others. I was never satisfied – either they were too expensive and didn't seem worth the price, or they were too far away, or they had too many negative reviews. After seeing Anman's high rating and researching it for a while, I decisively booked it. If anyone is hesitant, they should definitely choose this hotel. It far exceeded my expectations and was incredibly good value. For the same service and price, other places would charge double, and even then, they might not offer the same quality. Upon check-in, they even put my ID in a small protective sleeve and offered lobby tea.
Facilities: The decor is excellent, with an elegant French style that creates a warm ambiance and a luxurious feel at first glance.
Hygiene: Very clean, tidy, spacious, and bright.
Environment: Large windows, good soundproofing, and two bedrooms with two bathrooms – fantastic.
Service: The staff were warm and attentive, and they provided free breakfast. The cafeteria staff were also very responsible and answered all questions.

Katie_catsThis is the second time I’ve booked this hotel and also the second time I’m impressed with the hotel service.
I’ve touched down Kunming too early and since I’m tired from late night flight, I head straight to the hotel after I’ve landed although I understand check in cannot be so early.
The concierge was nice to allow me and my partner to enjoy breakfast (we booked stay with breakfast) while waiting for guests to check out as their hotel was fully booked.
Right after our breakfast, the concierge saw us and quickly chased up the cleaning staff to tidy up the room asap so guests can check in earlier. I appreciate their thoughtfulness in this and was lucky to check in in the morning although the stated check-in time is 2pm.
I also appreciate the cleaning staff attentiveness to us as we prefer the room to be clean up every 2 days instead of daily. (We book 4 nights there). She keeps checking in with us as she is worried we run out of drinking water, tissue paper, toilet roll and clean towel almost every morning.
On our last day, we came back to our room around late afternoon and she thoughtfully hang a laundry bag filled with drinking water bottles and even new pack of tissue on our door. (We leave do not disturb button on while we went out.)
The hotel staff at lobby was also very attentive when we get out of Didi outside in the rain, he runs towards us with umbrella to shield us from rain.
I also enjoy hotel breakfast very much as I arrived in Kunming with weak stomach and needed non spicy and easy food to ingest. They provided a great range of food that suits foreigners, children and even sick adults like me.
Thank you Dianyu Yunling, I know I can trust this hotel’s service level and will return to this hotel again for my next Kunming trip!

TJ26Stayed for one night and I must say that it was really fantastic . The hotel amenities were very good with a good breakfast . The free shuttle bus service and seamless and the timings were clearly indicated and the bus was on time . The sweet girl who was at the reception, I think her name is Fang Hongxia, went over and beyond to make sure all our requests were catered for . Really outstanding service from Fang. Will definitely return.

Guest UserStill very satisfied after multiple stays. The front desk staff are flexible and professional in handling requests, and the free shuttle service is very convenient. Located behind a residential area, it's very quiet. The breakfast quality is consistently good and delicious. Kunming's cool climate is very comfortable. They thoughtfully provided snacks for the children and their special lucky draw always brings joy to the kids.

Guest UserCheck-in: August 12-14, 2025, a two-night stay. First off, the hotel is located about 5 km from Kunming Railway Station, and less than 2 km from Wanda Plaza. The guest rooms are on floors 21-26, and I personally found them to be very quiet. The hotel staff provided excellent service; I have a fear of heights, and they promptly adjusted my room and even gave me an upgrade, which was incredibly thoughtful. The breakfast spread was very rich and diverse. I would definitely choose Huanpeng again for future trips.

As a branded hotel, it's a decent, no-frills option for leisure or business stays, but it still falls short when compared to Atour. Zulaikha ChongThe hotel is conveniently located near Kunming Railway Station, with many dining options nearby. The front desk staff, especially one lady, provided excellent service. I didn't want a corner room, so she upgraded me. The room also had a projector and a nice view from the floor-to-ceiling window. It was a very comfortable stay, and the cleanliness was impeccable. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Kunming.

The overall experience was great, highly recommend it. The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient with check-in and check-out. They patiently answered all my questions, never cold or unhelpful, making for a very comfortable service experience. The hotel design is very stylish, and the restaurant is beautiful, not an old-fashioned or dull style. The room was spacious and clean, making for a very pleasant stay. The hotel is located in the city center, with many local specialty shops right outside. In the evening, you can explore the Dongjiawan Night Market nearby, which offers a wide variety of snacks, making it easy to find authentic local food. It's a bit over two kilometers from the old street, but that's not an issue as taxis are readily available. It’s perfect for both leisure and business travelers. I’m very satisfied overall and will definitely choose this hotel again next time.

Overall, it was genuinely great. I stayed here with my parents and child, and the beds were quite large. The breakfast was plentiful; though I didn't get to try it, my parents did and they were very happy, which made me happy too.
The front desk staff was excellent. When my child wasn't feeling well, they told us which hospital to go to, and all our questions and issues were communicated and resolved promptly.
The hotel also has a laundry room.
It was a pleasant stay, and the location was convenient for getting everywhere. Really good!
