This pollinator garden consists of 200 plants representing 20 native species. It has an irregular polygon shape and covers a gently rising berm. It is parallel to the nearby roadway and the paved pedestrian path that bisects the park. A sign in the garden provides a QR code for anyone interested in learning more about the plants. Jack Wilson of the Nepean Horticultural Society will be on hand to answer questions about establishing a pollinator garden in a public park. Paint pouring, or fluid art, has unlimited techniques and variations to create unique abstract art. The string pull technique results in some wispy tendrils that are delicate and bold at the same time. In this advanced techniques workshop you will learn the string pull technique and create your own unique work of art. Previous paint pouring experience is not mandatory to attend this workshop. But if you have never done any paint pouring before you might want to attend our Introductory workshop first. All supplies will be provided. You will have opportunity to hone your skills on a practice canvas first and then paint your own string pull masterpiece! You can take both pieces home with you. Please note that it takes approximately 72 hours for the paint to fully cure. You will need to transport your painting carefully. A "pizza box" will be provided to help you bring your masterpiece home with ease. Paint pouring can get messy so dress appropriately. An apron or an old shirt is a good idea!
