Kate Punnett is an artist, homemaker and homeschooling mom that has created an artistic practice in between mothering her kids, growing a garden, and starting a part-time school. She teaches art and the creative process in her community to both children and adults. Kate was a sustainable florist before she started pressing flowers. She ran a small social enterprise in her floral studio gifting flowers to community members. Her passion lies in mixing the ephemeral nature of flowers with people. Her artistic work is driven by the desire to create change through aesthetics, from garden, to street, to community, to city and beyond. She fell in love with pressing flowers as a way to slow down the quick pace of the locally grown flower season. Always celebrating the spirit of local, her pressed work is a call for hope, joy and connection.

MOJA SPACE is more than just music—it’s about creating a space where South Africans are celebrated and shared. Expect live mixes, unforgettable events, cultural food, and immersive dance experiences that will transport you straight to the heart of our community. Ephemeral Art Making Series | Vanier Museopark
May 16, 2025 (UTC-5)
Ottawa
Ephemeral Art Making Join us for a series of mindful forest walks and nature-based creations throughout the Richlieu Forest in Vanier.
In the first three workshops you will be invited to collect natural materials and find a spot that speaks to you for your own individual creation. By returning to the same forest we will witness both the changes in the forest and ourselves. In the tradition of landart, these creations will be temporary as the elements and creature of the forest interact with them.
The forth session takes place on the summer solstice and National Indigenous People's day, and will focus on a collaborative creation made with nature and fellow participants. Half the proceeds from this workshop will be donated to the Minwaashin Lodge: Indigenous Women's Support Centre.
Join us for one or for all workshops! They are for anyone who is curious to give it a try! No artistic skills required, just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to explore the natural environment. Mobility is required to navigate the paths of the forest. Don't forget to dress for the weather! Note: The workshop may be cancelled with 24hours notice if the minimum number of participants hasn't been reached.

Hailing from Los Angeles, the epicenter for rock n’ roll in all its debauchery and glamour, Steel Panther has established themselves as the world’s premier party band, melding hard rock virtuosity with parody and criminally good looks. Steel Panther is a global phenomenon with four full-length albums, touring across the world, platinum-level You Tube status and high-profile television appearances such as Jimmy Kimmel Live, Larry King Now, and FOX NFL Sunday. Rolling Stone avowed, “There’s a reason Steel Panther have transcended their origins as a cover band playing the Sunset Strip,” while Metal Sucks declared, Steel Panther’s concept is genius...their songwriting is...preposterously snappy – and relatable.”
