At the end of the Great Ocean Road, there is a little-known national park, koala, kangaroo casually watching We have been driving on the Great Ocean Road for three days and stayed for two nights, one of which stayed at Warnepur, the end of Great Ocean Road. If it is not the suggestion of the landlord, we do not know that there is a beautiful national natural forest park in Warrnambool. This little-known place is called Tower Hill. It is a nature reserve. It does not require tickets. It is also a good place for locals to enjoy hiking. There are not many tourists and the environment is superb. It is a paradise for wild animals. Here, you can see the koala on the banyan tree, very cute, almost not moving. The cockroach of the Australian ostrich is walking on the side of the road, not afraid of people, in the jungle. From time to time, there are kangaroos jumping. In short, all kinds of animals and plants have opened our eyes to us. Tower Hill is not high, and the summit is extremely far-sighted. You can see the whole nature of the nature reserve and the sea in the distance. Tower Hill has a gift shop selling local products, selling refrigerators, postcards and other small specialty products, as well as ice cream and coffee for sale, playing for almost a day.

Metung is a small town located in eastern Victoria, situated in the beautiful Gippsland Lakes region, at the confluence of lakes and rivers, surrounded by lush forests and tranquil waters. The town of Olinda is also more than 40 kilometers away from Melbourne CBD. It is located in Mount Tanjung Nong, right next to Sassafras. Generally, when going to Mount Tanjung Nong, Olinda and Sassafras are always taken together. After all, the two towns are only 3 kilometers apart, and it only takes five or six minutes to get there. The town of Olinda looks similar to Sassafras, but has a larger population, with the 2021 count being 1,773 people. But even so, there are only 305 people per square kilometer, which means that each person occupies more than 3,000 square meters of land. How comfortable that is. There are some small shops and many food restaurants in the town center of Olinda. The National Rhododendron Garden next door is most beautiful in April, May, September and October. In late autumn, the garden is full of bright red and yellow, and in early spring, it is full of colorful flowers. A little further down the road after the Rhododendron Garden, there is the Olinda Tea House, which is a garden-style restaurant. I won’t comment on the meals and afternoon tea, but the environment and scenery are indeed nice. Continue along the road for a few kilometers and you will see a sign on the right that says Pirianda Garden. Turn in and walk a short dirt road to the parking lot of this garden. The autumn colors of this garden are more beautiful than those of the azalea garden, and the red and yellow leaves are more beautiful. Back to the center of Olinda town, turn right and walk along the main road for a few kilometers, there is a garden called William Ricketts Sanctuary. The garden is not big, but the plants are quite lush. There are many sculptures in it, with similar styles, all of which are old. They are hidden in the woods and bushes, and under the mottled light and shadow, it feels a little gloomy and heavy. A small town in Victoria, a southeastern state of Australia Dunkeld Located at the southern end of the Grampians/Garryward Ranges, it is an ideal base for exploring the Grampians. There are beautiful trails and mountain views for those who want to hike or climb Sturgeon Mountain. The town also has a rich variety of delicious food. The Royal Mail Hotel and Wickens Restaurant are recommended. Warrnambool This seaside town has a rich history and a stunning coastline. Great for the whole family, you can see whales and penguins. Lake Pettobe and Cape Thunder Walk are highlights, and the Great Ocean Road and the Twelve Apostles are also nearby. Ballarat As Victoria's second oldest city, Ballarat has a rich gold rush history, and Sovereign Hill is a must-see historical attraction. The town’s 19th-century buildings and gold mining museum are worth a visit. Halls Gap As the gateway to the Grampians National Park, it's perfect for nature lovers. There are waterfalls, lookouts, and several hiking trails. Halls Gap Zoo and local wineries are also popular. Bendigo Once the epicenter of the gold rush, Bendigo's historic buildings and gold mining museums attract visitors. You can experience historical walks, as well as visit art galleries and botanical gardens.

#australiatrip Had dinner at Macey's bistro on a Wednesday night, the meal was very nice. I had Chicken Schnitzel with chips and Vegetables, the service was good. The staff friendly and helpful. I have been here a number of times when visiting from Melbourne for a meal and have always enjoyed it. Played Keno while having my meal as I was dining alone. Recommend 😉😉

#australiatrip this place is THE BEST. i was on placement in the area with a friend and we came here after work on the weekends and ohhh gosh we just had the best time. perfect for a quiet dinner but also can have heaps of fun with the plenty of alcoholic drink offerings they have and delicious food! staff are sooo friendly feels like everyone is just hanging and chilling out, so relaxed and SO cosy and warm in the winter! the woodfired beetroot...i know ill never have beetroot that good again in my life. and the pizz, hits the spot everytime. honestly, #1 rec and worth a visit when in warrnambool. love love love, oh and shoutout to the dulche de leche churros - what a treat!

Your initial contact with Raj and not to mention the kind warm service from all who work at the Clovelly Restaurant. From Breakfast to Dinner we couldn’t be more impressed. Everything was perfect. #australiatrip As GF eaters, we were excited to eat here as they have so many gluten free foods! The wait staff were lovely, explained the ordering system on Mr Yum or we could order through them. Drinks were tasty. Sadly we didn't find the food meet the expectations of what we had been told. The pork belly, halloumi and Mac n cheese were bland. Jalapeno poppers had no heat (spice) at all. Frickles seemed overdone. But the GF Doughnut Fries with Nutella and strawberries were delicious. And the apple sauce with the pork belly was great. Admittedly, we did not try the burgers, but they did look amazing (happily come back to try).

#australiatrip The gluten free options here are fabulous and generally the gf dishes are different from other restaurants in town and reasonably priced. Once again, the meal was delicious, the staff were lovely and the restaurant very clean. Each dish was executed well, especially the calamari (as always) was melt in your mouth. The view is always stunning and calming, I forgot I was in warrnambool haha. I definately recommend eating here if you have not already.

#australiatrip A lovely enjoyable evening spent here. We did entrée, main and desert with a couple of cocktails thrown in. We started with salt and pepper calamari which was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. For mains I had the lamb rack which was honestly to die for! The meat perfectly done and not overdone at all and the veggies - potato scallops and the bed of sweet potato was very lovely. Tastiest meal I’ve had in forever. Well done Chef!! This meal was the highlight of our trip in eating at Warrnambool. My partner had the chicken Camembert which I was told was lovely but a little bit of a let down on the veggies which were more like a bistro offering. The chicken however was a delight to eat. So a little bit up and down for that meal.

#australiatrip It’s a cute little cafe in a heritage building. Nice decorated. Pulled pork roll was the highlight while avocado toast and chicken waffle were slightly too salty. Coffee were just ok but butterbing cookie was very good. Great atmosphere at ToTo cafe, they use Axil Coffee from Melbourne, my favorite. Service is always excellent. If you go for a quick take away coffee, and a snack or you sit in and have breakfast till 11:45am after that time the lunch menu kicks in.

#australiatrip Rough Diamond is an espresso bar and cafe located in Warrnambool. The menu is uncomplicated and limited, yet satisfying, with a range of sandwiches and toasts which they use the most perfect bread for. Keep an eye on their socials for specials they may be having. 👀 The Grilled Cheese was delicious, extra tasty and gooey with the addition of garlic bechemel. The Ham Cheese and Pickles had a good hit of mustard and another safe option. 🥪 A great option in town and if I was local I’d pop past often. Home style food but elevated. Good coffee, good chai!

#australiatrip This place was on my list heading to Warrnambool for its wonderful ambience and cozy vibes. Loved my time there and enjoyed it completely. Tilly offers great food with great portion size. Their chicken burger was very scrumptious with hand cut French fries and amazing garlic dip. The potachos was delicious. I hope they offer more vegetarian options for lunch going forward. Their freshly made juices are good however presenting them in a stylish glass would add on to the experience even more.

#australiatrip This cafe is in an excellent position: close to the beach and the other side is opposite to a beautiful park with lakes and great playgrounds. It has some tables inside and a good outdoor area: perfect for take away or dine in. It’s always busy and service may be affected but the food is amazing, eggs are particularly recommended! Good choice of delicious sweets, smoothies and coffees as well: perfect for the whole family. Highly recommended!!

#australiatrip This lovely cafe has become one of our favourite Warrnambool stops. It’s in a great location if you’re heading out to the Home-maker centre and is located near Harris Scarfe. The staff are always happy and friendly. Great food, service and coffee!!! All day breakfast is perfect!! The breakfast is actually big!!! Also ordered was panko eggs bruschetta and chilli scrambled eggs.

#australiatrip Our fave cafe in Warrnambool. They serve breakfast and lunch all day long which is great! We have had the arancini balls, french toast, chicken bao buns, poke ball - they were all AMAZING! Defo try the hot banana chai too so yum! Cannot wait to try the rest of the menu. The lemon cookie is also really good! They also sell reusable tumblers, frank green water bottles.

#australiatrip The coffee is very nice, we stayed at Warrnambool 3 days, came here 2 times. The staff are all very friendly, food tastes nice too. Hash browns in big bro is so crispy, the best hash brown I have ever had. And the food portion is big, ordered egg & bacon kids meal for my daughter, then everyone was surprised to see so big dish. This cafe is so popular, if you don’t want to wait 15-20 minutes to find a seat, better go there before 9am or after 11am.

#australiatrip If you want a good place to start the day in Warrnambool, then head to this Pavillion Cafe. Coffee is very good and the breakfast Bagel with avocado and salsa sauce is just perfect. Creamy avocado goes surprisingly well with the salsa sauce. Good view of the sea and beach too. Service is excellent. Stunning! Absolutely stunning location overlooking Lady Bay. Sit and watch the world go by as you sip and eat.

The Great Ocean Road trip has so much stamina, this little treasure town is on your bucket list The last stop of the self-driving Great Ocean Road was the beautiful town of Warrnambool, my favorite town along the way. This small town with a population of more than 30,000 has not only beautiful and neat residential areas, churches, large-scale commercial streets, but also a historic botanical garden. It is recommended that you choose to stay here on the last night of your Great Ocean Road self-driving trip. There are also Port Fairy Town and Griffith Island nearby, which are worth visiting. [Recommended check-in points] 1️⃣Whale Watching Platform: You can also watch whales in Warrnambool in winter. You can also take a boat out to sea to watch whales. There is a high probability of seeing them. 2️⃣Port Fairy: Also called Port Fairy, I live in Warrnambool and it takes about 40 minutes to drive to Port Fairy. It was once listed as the most livable town in the world. It’s really comfortable. 3️⃣Griffith Island: Next to Port Ferry, the island can only be hiked, where you can see kangaroos and an old lighthouse. Many people surf here. 4️⃣You can also go shopping in Warrnambool and taste delicious food. There are several highly rated restaurants that you can try. Tips: The small town of Warrnambool is really suitable to stay for one night and slowly feel its beauty. I believe you will like it.
