Guizhou | Huangguoshu Waterfall Travel Guide

🚄 Transportation: Take a high-speed train to Anshun West Railway Station, then take a bus or taxi to the scenic area. 🎫 Buy tickets in advance: Adult package CNY 270/person (ticket + sightseeing bus + escalator + accident insurance), discounts for Jiangsu, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. 🏞️ Tour route: Huangguoshu is divided into three scenic areas. It is recommended to visit in the order of "Big Waterfall - Tianxing Bridge - Doupotang". Save your energy for the main scenic area. If you are short on time or energy, you can skip Doupotang. 1️⃣ Big Waterfall 🕐 About 1.5 hours 🚶🏻 Enter the park and view the Big Waterfall from a distance from the viewing platform ➡️ Take the escalator down to the Bonsai Garden ➡️ View the Big Waterfall from the Rhino Pool ➡️ Water Curtain Cave (currently closed) ➡️ Climb the mountain road to the third viewing platform to overlook the Big Waterfall. 📌 There are many tourists at the core attractions, so it is recommended to go as early as possible. The Water Curtain Cave is closed this season, so you don't need to buy a raincoat. 2️⃣ Tianxing Bridge 🕐 2-3 hours 🚶🏻 Take the scenic bus to Tianxing Bridge, starting from Gaolaozhuang, divided into the first and second half. The first half is mainly artificial landscapes, which can be skipped. The essence is in the second half, with attractions such as the Stone Forest on Water, Tianxing Cave, and Silver Chain Waterfall. 📌 If you only want to walk the second half, don't enter the main entrance. Go up the steps on the left side of the main entrance and you will see the sign for the "second half". The round trip to the Silver Chain Waterfall takes 1.5 hours. If you can't walk, you can take the cable car to the entrance of the scenic area. 3️⃣ Doupotang 🕐 0.5-1 hour 🚶🏻 Doupotang Waterfall ➡️ Journey to the West Road ➡️ Sightseeing bus stop 📌 This is the filming location of the 1986 version of "Journey to the West". There are sculptures and other photo spots.
