Modao Mountain: The feeling of walking on the Gobi Desert

In Yunfu Yunan Village, Guangdong, there is a very special site, about 500 meters away from the modern riverbed. It should be regarded as an early Paleolithic site. This is an important discovery. Although it has only been discovered for ten years, the age of Modao Mountain can be traced back to about 500,000 to 700,000 years ago. The discovery of the Modaoshan site took place in 2013. It filled the gap in Paleolithic archaeology in Guangdong and pushed the history of human activities in Guangdong from the "Maba Man" era to the "Peking Man" era. 📷📷 Highlights: Not many people have been to Modao Mountain. When we went there, we felt it was deserted, and it felt like a flat desert. Archaeological excavations have unearthed more than 300 stone products of various types. The scale is not large, but the variety is rich. We saw stones, stone cores, stone flakes, etc. in the museum, as well as various hand axes, hand picks, choppers, etc. used at that time.
