Baolian Temple, Xuzhou - A beautiful temple.

Transportation: Take Subway Line 2 to Jiulong Lake Station, then transfer to Bus 613 and get off at Baolian Temple Station. Tips: Free admission, just swipe your ID card to enter. Vegetarian food is available on both sides of the main gate of the temple. There is a table at the main gate with incense sticks that you can take for free (up to three). The history of Baolian Temple can be traced back to the Liu Song period of the Southern and Northern Dynasties. The founder was a monk who had traveled to the west to obtain Buddhist scriptures, so the temple was once an Indian-style temple, but all that has become nothing. The current Baolian Temple was rebuilt in 2009. As a dojo of Maitreya Bodhisattva, the entire temple has the momentum of a Buddhist ancestral court, and the temple buildings in the temple combine the grandeur and luxury of the Tang Dynasty, with bold and gorgeous colors. What sets Baolian Temple apart from other temples is that there are seven Buddhas in the main hall, while the main hall of a typical temple has one Buddha and two Bodhisattvas, or Buddhas of the past, present, and future. On the back of the main hall is the largest single Guanyin mural in China. Behind the main hall is the tallest Buddhist pavilion in China - Tongtian Pavilion, which houses the largest indoor bronze Buddha statue in China - Tianguan Maitreya Buddha. The Tianguan Tower Pool at the entrance is also very photogenic, as is the Bodhi Holy Lotus Fountain outside the temple. Each place is full of majestic momentum, symbolizing the boundlessness of Buddhism. Although Baolian Temple does not have any ancient relics, it is still worth a visit for its dignity and Buddha-nature, and it's great for photos.
