A glimpse of the sea of mist at Phu Chi Fa 🌤🌿🍃🛵 A hidden jewel in Northern Thailand, near the Laos border, is home to one of the most stunning sunrises you'll ever witness. It's named Phu Chi Fah (), and while it's well-known among Thai visitors to Chiang Rai, it's still relatively unknown to most international visitors. That's all the more reason to put it on your to-do list! The name Phu Chi Fah literally means "mountain that points to the sky," and it's easy to see why. Just look at the silhouette it creates against the morning light. But that isn't even the most exciting aspect. It's like standing on top of the globe once you've reached the summit. We landed at Phu Chi Fah the night before for this excursion and awoke in the wee hours of the morning (as in 5 am early). It's critical to get at the lookout before the sun sets over the horizon, but we were rewarded with a spectacular daybreak.
