The slope is moderate, the distance between the courtyard and the hall is appropriate, the air convection is fresh, and the roof and eaves are painted with dragons and phoenixes. The walls are carved with landscapes, flowers, and birds, which are interesting. Chen Ce, whose original name was Ming Tang and courtesy name was Chou Shuo, was born in Shagang Village, Huiwen Town, Wenchang City in 1893. He joined the Tongmenghui in his early years and later participated in the Xinhai Revolution. In 1911, he studied at the Guangdong Naval School and conspired with his classmates to fight against Yuan Shikai. After the failure, he went to Hong Kong and participated in the protection of the law in Guangdong in 1917. In 1919, he went to Zhangzhou on behalf of his classmates to persuade Chen Jiongming, the commander-in-chief of the Fujian-Guangdong Army, to fight against the rebels. Later, he was sent back to Guangdong to take over the Jiangfang Navy of the Kuomintang. He served as the director of the Guangdong Navigation Administration of the National Government, the commander of the Guangdong Coastal Defense of the Kuomintang, the commander of the Jiangfang Fleet of the Kuomintang, the naval adviser of the Kuomintang, the commander of the Fourth Fleet of the National Navy, the commander-in-chief of the First Fleet of the Navy, the principal of the Naval School, the commander of the Humen Fortress, and the deputy minister of the Navy. When the Japanese invaders invaded, he used the improved giant cannon of the Shajiao Fort to severely damage the enemy ship. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, he returned to Guangzhou to organize the municipal government as a member of the Kuomintang Guangzhou Military Action Committee, the mayor of Guangzhou, the liaison officer of the Allied Forces, and the director of the Guangzhou Special Party of the Chinese Kuomintang. In 1949, he was appointed as the deputy director of the Kuomintang Guangzhou Pacification Office and died at the Guangzhou Navy Friendship Society residence on August 30 of the same year.
