National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit - Dou Bing Pagoda

The pagoda is octagonal, with 7 floors, each with an archway, and a spiral staircase with 104 steps inside, leading to the top of the pagoda. The pagoda is about 20 meters high, with a base circumference of 44.8 meters, a body thickness of 3.55 meters, and two doors, with a stone plaque inscribed with the words "Dou Bing Pagoda" on the door. The pagoda has been standing for 370 years, and although it has been hit by wind and thunder, it still stands as it was, providing valuable physical information for the study of the history of ancient pagodas in Hainan. In July 1986, Dou Bing Pagoda was announced as the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in Wenchang County by the former Wenchang County People's Government; In May 2009, Dou Bing Pagoda was announced as the second batch of provincial cultural relics protection units in Hainan Province by the People's Government of Hainan Province; On March 5, 2013, Dou Bing Pagoda was announced as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council of the People's Republic of China. The three cultural relics protection monuments have been destroyed by typhoons. The county-level and national cultural relics protection monuments have been erected and leaned against the base. The provincial cultural relics protection monument has been broken and fallen to the ground. 📌Tips: There is a "Hua Shi Shi Zu Cemetery" monument at the entrance, and cars can be parked here. There is a simple parking lot halfway up the mountain, but the road up the mountain has been washed away and is difficult to drive.
