A spring self-drive tour in Turpan, Xinjiang is amazing!

Every March, as spring emerges, people in Xinjiang know it's time for a spring road trip. Head to the Flaming Mountains Scenic Area in Turpan, located on the northern edge of the Turpan Basin. It gets its name from the vibrant red color of the mountains, resembling a blazing fire. The mountain formations here are unique. Tuyugou Village is located in Tuyugou Township, Shanshan County, Turpan, at the southern entrance of the Tuyugou Canyon in the middle of the Flaming Mountains. The buildings here are mainly made of adobe and yellow clay, giving them a rustic appearance. Each courtyard within the village has its own distinct character, with intricate and colorful door and window designs, exquisite tapestries, decorations, and utensils. Strolling through the village, you can sense the locals' love for life in every detail. The Kumtag Desert is the closest desert to a city in the world. You can also experience the thrill of desert off-roading and sandboarding! Grape Valley is located on the west side of the Flaming Mountains. The main scenic spots include the Grape Valley Folk Village, Avanti Folk Park, Dawazi Folk Park, Wang Luobin Music Art Museum, Grape Valley Amusement Park, and Frog Alley. As you wander through Grape Valley, time seems to slow down. The gentle breeze brings a refreshing coolness, making you want to linger.
