I had heard rumors that Toyohashi City in Aichi Prefecture has amazing curry udon, but this was my first time visiting the city, and as I passed through the ticket gates, I was greeted by an Airou. I thought it was a city of curry udon, but it also has another face, a "Monster Hunter city." Monsters were appearing all over the shopping district, making me want to go on a "hunt" right away, but this time my main goal was Toyohashi's curry udon, so I decided to make good my steer and head to my destination. Yes and no!! What makes Toyohashi's curry udon different from other places? Well, it's because there is rice and grated yam hidden at the bottom of the curry udon. This system allows you to enjoy two different flavors, curry udon and curry rice, all in one bowl. What an amazing system, isn't it? In 2010, Toyohashi curry udon was developed in cooperation with the general foundation and Tamagawa Udon, a long-established restaurant founded in 1909. Today, I would like to fill my hungry stomach and be enveloped in happiness at Tamagawa Udon, which is not an exaggeration to say is the birthplace of Toyohashi curry. My impression of Toyohashi curry udon was that it was just as tasty as usual, but it was curry udon after all (lol). But this unique combination is a gourmet experience that everyone should try at least once.
