Hidden place in Tokyo | Otonashi water park near Oji station (Kita city, Tokyo)

I’ve visited Tokyo many times, but last autumn was my first time staying in Kita City. I stayed in a guest house near Oji Station, just a 5-minute walk away. Every time I went to and from the station, I passed by Otonashi Water Park—a serene hidden gem. If you're not staying in Kita, it's easy to visit the park by taking the JR line to Oji Station; the park is only a minute’s walk from there. It features long, quiet, forested walkways and peaceful streams. I visited in early autumn, but I can only imagine how beautiful it must look in full autumn colors or in spring when the cherry blossoms bloom. The atmosphere feels like a retreat within Tokyo. There weren’t many tourists—mostly locals, students chatting along the paths, and people taking leisurely walks. In addition, you can spot some cute Tokyo Sakura tram, and catch the Asuka Park Rail, which leads to Tokyo’s Asukayama Park. #tokyotrip
